Quintuple Aim
A checklist of what "value" means in healthcare: better patient outcomes, improved population health, lower cost, better clinician well-being, and greater health equity. It extends the older Triple and Quadruple Aims by adding equity. For AI, it is the test of whether a tool actually helped: if a deployed tool is not moving at least one of the five, the value case is just words.
A business case for a no-show prediction tool claims gains on all five aims. The tool works by double-booking the slots of patients it predicts will miss, and those patients are often the ones with transport, childcare or shift-work problems, so on the days they do turn up they wait longest or get squeezed out. Name the one aim the tool is for, here cost, measure it from before go-live, and track waits and attendance by patient group so you see early if equity is moving backward.
